“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” Romans 13:11-12

When faith’s light has gone out, life becomes a weary road. Are you tired of walking down a weary road where fear, anger, envy, jealousy, greed, lust and darkness are the order of the day? Rather than joining others to complain and murmur, decide to walk out of the darkness of your situation. As children of God, we are not here to get used to the dark but to shine as light. Remember, God has put His Word in your heart and that Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.

Blessed is the man who follows the path of God – even in darkness, light shines, dawns for the upright (Psalm 112:4).

No matter how dark your today may seem, Jesus is the Owner of your soul. Ask Him to help you walk out of darkness:

Lord Jesus, I come with my emptiness that I may be filled. I come with my weakness to receive Your strength. I come with darkness, seeking Your light.
