TB Joshua Brings his Congregation and Viewers Back to the Bible

Prophet T.B. Joshua

Prophet TB Joshua, the Bishop and Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, may no longer need an elaborate introduction. He’s well known both by friends and foes across the globe. Anytime he enters the congregation goes aglow. But there is still something significantly missing about Prophet TB Joshua, his mission and his place in the scriptures in the minds of the public. It is sufficient for us to tell the world that SCOAN exists to move individuals closer to Jesus every day, leading to life transformation and changing nations. This is demonstrated through Prophet TB Joshua’s thorough teachings, demonstration of the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and engaging and making disciples for Jesus. In the world today there is no comparable ministry that reflects Jesus as clearly, precisely and truly as SCOAN. It is only the grace of God that this Ministry is located somewhere here in Lagos Nigeria, of all places Africa!!! It is maybe because Africa is perceived as poor but God knows we are rich in the Spirit.

So who is Prophet TB JOSHUA? Jesus once conducted a poll about Himself and Peter who gave the right answer must have done so influenced by the Holy Spirit. Shortly after when the same Peter knew that Jesus would be going through death on the cross he pulled Jesus aside and rebuked God’s divine plan. Similarly, the dispersed disciples leaving Jerusalem for Emmaus also took Jesus for a physical political deliverer of Israel in their discussion. In addition, the Jews were convinced that Jesus was coming to lead an insurrection and bring Israel to the point of being a sovereign nation. They like to be a glorious nation. Then the Jews surrounded Jesus and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly”, (John 20:24). Hence it is natural for everyone to know their prophets and their missions respectively.

Prophet TB Joshua has come to bring the world back to the Bible and pointing the way to Jesus. This generation has derailed a great deal, totally gone astray on posterity gospel in particularly, questing to raise large crowds who merely want to hear what they like and not what God is saying. The race for church leadership is going to continue to lead to more infighting and killings in the different congregations. SCOAN is not going to be immured in these struggles in the future but with a proper foundation and the Holy Spirit leading all shall be well. Hence SCOAN is a Church that will stand the test of time, with minimum rebuke from Jesus, if it continues in the path set by its founder. It will be so hard to advance beyond the spiritual high standard already set but Jesus told His disciples, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high”, (Like 24:49).

A CRY BORN OF FAITH!

Tb Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

We all cry sometimes but as the tears roll down your cheeks, have you ever stopped to ask yourself what gave birth to your crying? Is your cry born of self-pity or victimhood because you are looking for attention and lamenting over your present situation? Or is your cry born of faith because you want to receive from Jesus Christ?

In Matthew 15:22-28, the Canaanite woman cried out to Jesus for her daughter’s deliverance. In verse 26 Jesus replied “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.”

This response was capable of discouraging any other woman in her position from pressing on with her request. She was not only ignored; she was also equated with a dog. But because she truly believed that Jesus was capable of meeting her needs, she knew that this seeming harsh treatment would soon pass away. She simply pressed on, saying, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Jesus saw this as a cry born of faith.

What are you crying about? The Lord may be taking His time to consider your request in order to test your faith just like the Canaanite woman. If your cry is born of faith because you want to receive of Jesus then you would respond with humility, modesty and perseverance. So be calm and determined and make sure your cry is a cry born of faith.

TB Joshua Meeting in Nazareth – Day One

Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua has released a documentary on YouTube detailing the ‘persecution’ he endured during his visit to Nazareth, Israel last year followed by a national award presented to him by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism in the aftermath of the event.

In June 2019, Joshua held a two-day event in the historic hometown of Jesus Christ, which attracted thousands of religious tourists from across the globe.

However, the event held at the Amphitheatre of Mount Precipice was fiercely criticised by local religious figures and nearly faced cancellation due to the intensity of attacks.

“This man is only promoting lies, and anyone who follows this liar is unjust. That is why we ban our people from attending,” a representative for the Christian Church and Pastoral Council in Nazareth stated in the lead-up to the event.

“This visit that is going to be held by this antichrist and wizard – we, the Islamic movement – completely reject it,” noted Osama Haha, the head of Islamic Movement in Nazareth.

“Jesus warned us there would be false prophets coming. We do not know where this man is coming from or the purpose behind everything he does,” stated Father Seaan Bajali, a Roman Orthodox Priest.

“Boycotting the sorcerer Zionist is a national and religious duty,” the Executive Committee of the Orthodox Forum said in a statement.

A protest was even organized with hundreds trouncing through the city in Northern Israel with placards decrying the coming event and people shouting: “Let this witch get away from us!”

Despite the ‘noise’ surrounding the event, it was held successfully with Joshua preaching a message on love and ministering “healing and deliverance in Jesus’ name” to the large crowds that gathered.

“Love for fellow man breaks down all barriers. It melts all hindrances. It dissolves prejudice, misunderstanding and suspicion,” he preached in a sermon whilst a local mosque blared out via a loud speaker, “Do not participate with this wizard.”

A group of religious figures even visited the venue of Mount Precipice after the event and performed a ‘cleansing ritual’ with water, leaves and salt.

However, interviews with local figures after the event revealed a markedly different impression, with residents celebrating the economic and social impact of Joshua’s visit to the region and calling for him to return for future events.

“This is the first time in 2,000 years we have heard the name of Jesus proclaimed publicly in Nazareth,” stated a tearful Nazarene Christian.

The event, which was broadcast on local television throughout Israel and featured in The New York Times and Reuters, subsequently attracted the attention of Israel’s Ministry of Tourism, which gave an award to the Nigerian cleric and made him a ‘Tourism Ambassador’.

“TB Joshua, on the occasion of your visit to Israel, I am honoured to recognise you as a true friend of Israel. Thank you for your support and solidarity, which are deeply appreciated. It is my pleasure to name you as a ‘Tourism Goodwill Ambassador For Israel’,” wrote Yariv Levin, the Minister of Tourism.

“You only need to hear ‘Go!’ from above. Who are you to say no? When God says yes, no one can say no! The noise of north and south, the noise of east and west does not matter. It only promotes,” Joshua explained in an interview accompanying the documentary.

Joshua is the first ‘Evangelical Pastor’ to have held a public Christian event in Nazareth; the only other religious figure to have had such an event was Pope Benedict XVI in 2009.

Reacting to the documentary, followers of Joshua were quick to salute his courage, opining that such degree of attacks would easily discourage those of lesser faith.

“It depends on who sent you,” the prominent cleric concluded. “Above all powers; above all kings. What can man do? Can man stop God? No. Capital NO!”
