WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN SECRET?

The SCOAN Sunday Broadcast began with songs of praise and worship to the Almighty God, the Alpha and Omega. With melodious songs composed by Prophet T.B. Joshua, the Emmanuel TV Choir welcomed the Holy Spirit who knows no barrier of distance or time. On the performance roll call of songs composed by God’s servant were “I Live To Worship”, “Loved By God”, “Flow From You”, “Yes Lord” and “No One Like You”.

Prophet T.B. Joshua began his message by asking viewers to tune their hearts to the heavenly frequency as he cited 1 Corinthians 12:1-3, Ephesians 1:16-18, Matthew 15:8, 1 Corinthians 2:7-13 and Luke 24:45.

The message focused on the indispensable role of the Holy Ghost in living the victorious Christian life. He asked: “How many of us seek the attention of the Holy Spirit before calling the name Jesus? How many of us seek the attention of the Holy Spirit while counselling, teaching, preaching, praying?” Prophet T.B. Joshua likened the Holy Spirit to the key to a closed door and to light in a dark world. “The Word will remain on our lips without the Holy Spirit,” he said. Putting it in another way, he said: “The Word will remain inactive, meaningless and oftentimes destructive without the Holy Spirit.” He therefore advised Christians to seek to please the Holy Spirit both in the open and in secret because whatever we do secretly and privately will determine what we can do in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit is more interested in what we do secretly and privately. He further said, “The one you serve in secret, in private will stand to reward you in the open.” He concluded by saying, “We are more of His friend in the open but more of His enemy in secret and in private.”

In praying for the viewers, Prophet T.B. Joshua asked the Lord to fill them with His faithfulness, holiness, obedience, humility. “Fill them Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, strengthen their faith and trust in You. Oh Holy Spirit, think through them till Your ideas are their ideas,” he prayed. He also prayed for those that are sick that Jesus should strengthen them and touch their bodies with good health.

Yinka, Angela, Anne, Chris and Racine not only read the email testimonies but also had a studio session relating to Prophet T.B. Joshua’s message. Chris began by noting that the world has been engulfed in crises mainly because people have failed to be their brother’s keeper by not extending a hand of genuine love to all irrespective of their social, religious or political affiliations.

Against the backdrop of Matthew 5:45 – “…He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Chris said: “It is more pleasant to do good to the ungrateful than to do good to the grateful people, for then we have God as our Paymaster.” Urging people to help others without expecting anything in return, Chris said that “we begin to live a life of victory when those who pray for us are more than those who curse us, want us to die, want us to be destoyed, want us to fail.” He therefore urged viewers to put the needs of others before theirs and ensure to sow a seed of goodness every day.

Angela added to the message by identifying two forms of help: help for God’s sake and help with expectation (Luke 6:32-36). She said that helping for God’s sake will attract God’s attention. On the other hand, if we help with expectation, it is not in Spirit and in truth and so is “all nothing”. To love without expectation is to show love without expecting anything in return from the person we have shown love to. When we love without expectation, our love is being sown to the Spirit. She therefore urged the viewers: “Sow to the Spirit, not to the flesh.”

DON’T TAKE A STEP BACK

Tb Joshua Ministries,The SCOAN

Do you ever feel as if you are not getting anywhere – whenever you move forward, you find yourself going backwards again? This is because you keep taking steps back when you face obstacles, hindrances and problems, instead of allowing them to move you forward. Timothy experienced the same temptation but Apostle Paul warned him not to take a step back when he was sick, attacked, persecuted or discouraged.

“Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.” (1 Timothy 18-19)

You take a step back when in the face of your situation, you get discouraged and start complaining, ‘Why me?’ Whereas this is the beauty of our journey to eternal life – our challenges. Apostle Paul himself knew what it was like to feel like giving up while facing challenges but he kept on running the straight race with God.

What situation are you facing that is causing you to take a step back? Don’t forget, your challenges are friends to move you forward if they produce a sense of dependence on God.

Egypt – Ethiopia Tension: It Is Time For TB Joshua To Get Involve

The colossal dam that’s being constructed by the Ethiopians has continued to generate tension between them and their Egyptian and Sudanese neighbours. Which many fear could lead to war.

The leadership of Ethiopia says that the dam will offer a critical opportunity to pull millions of her nearly 110 million citizens out of poverty. The project is said to be the centrepiece of Ethiopia’s bid to become Africa’s biggest power exporter.

The dam will be filled from waters from the Blue Nile, but the Egyptians have expressed their concern over the dam’s construction and the filling of the dam with the water from the Nile, arguing that it will reduce its legitimate share of Nile river water access and threaten its water security.

Sudan on their part stands to benefit from the project through access to cheap electricity and reduced flooding, but it has also raised fears over the dam’s operation.

The US President Donald Trump had invited Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia to start negotiations in Washington over the $4.6bn Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), following years of unsuccessful negotiations between the three countries. Unfortunately, they still could not come to a common ground.

Egypt has warned Ethiopia not to start filling the GERD under any circumstances, but the latest information coming out is that Ethiopia has started filling the dam. This move by Ethiopia comes as the latest round of talks between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia on the contentious dam ended with no agreement.

As the Prophet will say “Let us look beyond our palace for God’s authority. With God, all things are possible!”

Since the world government and their institutions cannot handle this issue, it is time for all parties involved to seek the help of God through the instrumentality of the Prophet T.B Joshua for a lasting solution.

TB Joshua has proven himself time without numbers through his intervention on several conflicts in the African continent and the world.

As of recent, the world was a witness to how God uses the Prophet to intervene as an instrument of peace in the nation of South Sudan.

It is time to invite the Prophet of God in the peace negotiation through the African Union (AU) and the United Nations (UN) concerning the Blue Nile conflicts.

Voice of wisdom to the Egyptians, Sudanese and the Ethiopians.

Don’t fall for the evil agenda from the outsiders to cause you to fight amongst yourself. Be wise!

This battle is all about African pride and prosperity. And I don’t think anyone of you is against the prosperity of the other.

War will not benefit anyone. Don’t make yourself to be used by the outsiders to divide the continent and put you all against each other. Learn from your History!

Laying down your ego for the sake of peace is not diminishing. Restraint in the face of provocation only shows your level of maturity.

This is a simple issue that can be handled by God.

Africa is a Mother of peace and prosperity. Not crisis and poverty. Come together as brothers, learn to compromise and see how you can be a solution and of help to each other. Let Love Lead!
