They met for the first time in a hospital ward, both there for a mutual purpose: childbirth. However, the night unfolded and there were no signs of labour for either woman. The medical personnel present attempted to induce the labour process through various means without any seeming sign of success. Morning dawned and Esther soon started experiencing the early signs and pains of labour. Her time of delivery had arrived. However, her colleague Ngozi saw no differences and fear soon set in. After examination, doctors concluded that an operation was the only way for her to deliver safely. But God had other plans!
In (Luke 9:28-36) Jesus took Peter, James and John, and went up into a mountain to pray. As Jesus was praying, the fashion of His countenance was altered, and His raiment was white and glistering. There talking with Jesus were two great men of history, Moses and Elijah. These men appeared in glory, to speak of the death which Jesus should accomplish at Jerusalem. Unfortunately, Peter, James and John were deep in sleep, as many Christians are today. In (Hebrews 6-11), it says, “We will never know some things because of tired eyelids, we will never know some things because of carnal thinking”. They couldn’t see or record everything for us because they went to sleep. When they eventually awoke, they saw Jesus’ glory and the two men that stood with Him. Peter said unto Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three tabernacles. One for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias”. While Peter thus spake, there came a cloud that overshadowed them. They feared as they entered into the cloud. A voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son: hear him”.
In many similar ways, we receive the word of God from Prophet TB Joshua, the man of God in the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN. God is using him and God is working out what He purposes us to be if only we will obey God’s word. One significant point being missed by many people in Nigeria, and across the globe, is the lack of appreciation either to God or even to Prophet TB Joshua for providing a holy arena like SCOAN for worship, healing, restoration, blessing and renewal of faith. Since the advent of covid-19, I have run out of the calculation of how many people should have visited Nigeria across the globe through SCOAN and be healed. Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, an avenue to reach out to rescue the perishing and the dyeing was opened to SCOAN tagged “Distance is not a Barrier”. It can’t replace canonical mass worship, corporately praying together, or climbing the SCOAN altar in multitude with faith and joy of the Lord, or going to Prayer Mountain with other Christians all over the world. We miss SCOAN and like Peter, we are truly saying, “It is good to live in SCOAN”.
To Peter, it was a titanic stupendous occasion that three of them were privileged to be part of, out of the twelve. Those three men were privileged and chosen and set apart and allowed to be in a little portion of what took place on that mountain top. Peter recorded it that he was an eyewitness of the Majesty of Jesus Christ when they were with Jesus in the holy mountain (2 Peter 1:16-19). We are praying along with Prophet TB Joshua and looking forward to a time of Fellowship together in SCOAN the in the Arena of Liberty. Emmanuel
In (2 Corinthians 5:7) Apostle Paul encouraged the Corinthians that “We walk by FAITH, not by SIGHT.” The desire and plan of God for each of us is “how to disciple us to learn how to live by faith, not by sight”. God wants us to learn how to live in a loving relationship with Him, to recognize His voice and commune with Him, to discover His will for our lives, to make right decisions to follow His direction and to live out His perfect plan demonstrated to us in His only Son, Jesus Christ. Hence walking by faith is simply being where God is and doing what God is doing. It is necessary to learn how to walk by faith, not by sight, because, “whatever is not of faith is sin,” (Rom. 14:23), and also because, ”without faith, it is impossible to please God,” (Heb. 11:6).
With the advent of COVID-19 pandemic, many Christian sects are predicting that the end of the world is at hand. Of course, Christian prophecies about the coronavirus, about locust swarms, about a socioeconomic pandemic, or the consequent era of humility are worthy of attention. Prophet TB Joshua, the Bishop of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, (SCOAN), Lagos Nigeria, has spent considerable time drawing the attention of the world to what God has been showing to him. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has infected more than 25 million people globally since it emerged and has been branded a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Several conspiracy theorists and some Christian groups have responded by flooding social media in recent months with their versions of warnings of the world’s fiery demise. Hence both Christians and world scientists believe that they have a say on world affairs, especially as relates to the end-time plagues. Nevertheless, there is still no convergence of opinions so far but that the coronavirus shouldn’t be viewed as the end-time plague. The giant swarms of locusts which are also devastating, extremely unusual storms, earthquake and volcanic activity are both on the rise, and other very dangerous diseases that are sweeping across the globe are referred to as other signs that are confounding human knowledge.
Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, (Ephesians 6:12). It is a continuous battle for every Christian, day and night, but the battle is rather with the perception of our circumstance and the material world. The circumstance shouldn’t be the focus, COVID-19 isn’t the focus. Apostle Paul says we need to be strong beyond ourselves. We’ll need God’s strength for the conflict. It means that as Christians we are soldiers at war just like a regular soldier in the battlefield.

The coronavirus global pandemic is not a new virus. It has been around for a long while causing fluid and other diseases. It is most likely to remain in public circulation spreading from human to human. Through the virus’ ability to transform its activities from causing fever, dry cough, tiredness, headache, etc. The global community must anticipate a fact that the coronavirus may in future appear in a more destructive position than the ongoing COVID-19. Hence COVID-19 must be quickly dealt with to reduce its damage on the economy, the society and the Church.
The Church is a major stakeholder in every community in the areas of human restoration, reformation, rehabilitation, and providing hope and comfort to souls that are in despair, sick, fearful, or restless. The goal of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), led by Prophet TB Joshua, is to freely serve the world in times like this and such capacity as God will direct. Covid-19 is what we can see today, and because the world has followed its instinct, and has largely neglected the more important spiritual aspect, there is confusion, fear, rejection in the society.
Whilst some governments have given guidance on how Assemblies ought to conduct self, others simply hang to the total lockdown approach. Of course, it is still vital that the necessary hygiene and social distancing precautions are kept in place to protect the hospital workers and save lives. Similarly, no pastor would want to be quarantined because members who visited their church later tested positive to COVID-19. All this is still at the human level. In every society, the Church members remain the most discipline set of people, more organized than market traders.
The action of Mary Magdalene in John 20:10-16 is very commendable if we must desire to see what others fail to see. She had the singular honour to have anointed the body of Jesus before the crucifixion. Later on, the other ladies brought their oil to the tomb but it wasn’t useful because the tomb was empty when they arrived. Now see her unique devotion and character again. They all ran to the tomb but while the disciples went away unto their own home after a while Mary stood around weeping. As she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, she saw two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Eventually, Jesus Himself appeared to her and she became the first to see Jesus and hence by inference the first that Jesus would send as a missionary to others immediately after the resurrection.
The best of the world politicians are like Pilate, or at the very best the disciples, always in hurry, not looking deep enough, fearful of what the public would say. On the other hand, we may liken Prophet TB Joshua and the Church to Mary who painstakingly has told us before the advent of COVID-19, and also still telling us some future events, hardship and humility that shall follow. The entire Church of Christ should be in one accord, listen to him as many are doing across the world, confederating with Emmanuel.tv partners in charity giving globally. His prayer and encouraging words are going to be more effective in our common attempt to get people back on their two feet and prepare them for the next battle. More importantly by his teaching, using his various ministries, he is raising the Church of Christ to the right level, making the global community conscious of the coming Christ and preparing new prophets and evangelists for the mission. Covid-19 that has taken the world’s attention in the last five months is not going to be the last battle nor the most difficult. The world would henceforth need the Church of Christ to lead in the hard battles ahead. Emmanuel!!!

After news was widely circulated that a Sierra Leonean government official was ‘sacked’ following her testimony at T.B. Joshua’s church, the Nigerian cleric has responded by releasing a video of the lady’s controversial testimony.
International media outlets such as CNN reported the story of Mrs Fatmata Edna Kargbo, the Chief Protocol Officer of President Julius Maada Bio, whose testimony of ‘God’s blessings in her life’ after visiting Joshua’s church in Lagos, Nigeria, sparked public concern in Sierra Leone.
Kargbo was invited for questioning by the nation’s anti-corruption agency after insinuations were rife at the speed of her apparent rise in wealth.
However, Joshua’s television channel, Emmanuel TV, released the video of Kargbo’s actual testimony, which she shared on Sunday 21stJuly 2019.
According to Kargbo, after visiting The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) – “the house I constructed for 10 years without finishing – in exactly 14 years, I was able to complete it through the grace of God!”
This contradicts the narrative implied by most media reports that the Sierra Leonean politician amassed excessive finances within the short timeframe of her appointment as Bio’s Chief Protocol Officer in April 2018.
The clip released on Emmanuel TV also paints Kargbo as a patriotic figure who championed the cause of her nation during the deadly Ebola outbreak in the nation in 2014.
A letter from then President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma to Joshua, requesting his assistance in the nation to battle the deadly virus, is revealed, alongside a donation of $50,000 to Sierra Leone and 4,000 bottles of ‘Anointing Water’ to help curb the spread of the disease.
Kargbo reveals she personally received the gifts from Joshua – which were sent in a private jet chartered to the tune of $50,000 – and ensured they reached the affected areas, claiming that the regions where the ‘water’ reached were later declared Ebola free.
Although most media reports claimed Kargbo had been ‘sacked’ from her job, a statement from the presidential office indicated she had only been placed on leave pending the outcome of the corruption investigation.
